Sophomore solo album from the former leader of the Long Ryders and current leader of his bluegrass-oriented Coal Porters, originally released in 2005. Featuring a host of new Sid songs as well as a cover of the Flamin' Groovies' 'You Tore Me Down', the highlight of As Certain As Sunrise may well be the previously unreleased, unrecorded song by Americana hero the late Doug Sahm (AKA Sir Doug of the Sir Douglas Quintet and Texas Tornadoes). Containing a guest appearance by ex-Faces keyboardist Ian MacLagan, the album promises to be another fantastic slice of country rock.
